Established in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At first, solely third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer key from the current registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no special stipulations on who can grab a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
